Work can be a boring place, sometimes a bit stressful too. Fortunately for me I work in an environment that is okay with a little decoration. I think the freedom for personal expression at work will keep your employees comfortable and a bit happier, which in turn increases productivity.
Think I sound like a manager or something? I'm not, but I do work in a quality control and training sort of position. Whenever you hear "this call may be monitored for quality assurance" I may very well be one of those guys doing the monitoring (if you're ordering some office products anyway).
But enough about my actual job, what I wanted to share today were the things from home I keep on my desk to make my work environment more pleasant. I have lots of video game collectibles at home and usually the extras or "over flow" make it to my work area. Here's a look:
Street Fighter 3 quarter figures group:
These guys came out of one of the quarter machines outside of the Bristol Mall tilt around the time Street Fighter 3 Double Impact came out. I also have Ken and Oro at the house somewhere but they're missing in action right now.
Street Fighter 3 quater Ryu
The Ryu from the above set.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Ryu and Ken
Along with weird little mutant Ken (also from a quarter machine).
Street Fighter Alpha 3 M. Bison and Killer Bee
From the same set as the Ryu and Ken.
Multiple Chun li's
Chun li bust, Megaman E-tank energy drink, lil mutant Chun li, and Chun li with Cap's shield. My buddy and I used to have a Captain America figure around but it's gone missing. Only his shield remained. So the story goes now that the strongest woman in the world is searching for the sentinel of liberty to deliver his shield (isn't story telling fun?)
Street Fighter IV Chun figurine and poster
The poster in the background was actually a failed printing of one of my arcade stick artworks because it came out too large. It looked good anyway so I held on to it.
Tekken 6 Calendar
Only awesome every other month.
Madcatz TE Arcade stick Keychain/Hex key
Awesome key chain I got from Mark Man at Final Round XII
Sorry about the low quality pics, they were from my cell phone. Hope you find the collectables enjoyable. I'll show more from home at a later time.
Until then, be sane at work and don't be afraid to show off your hobby a bit.
