We finally made it through the first week of 2012. I say finally because even though it was only a 4 day work week it felt like possibly the longest week ever.
Someone asked me why I didn't write something for the end of 2011 and the short answer is good riddance to 2011. My son Liam being born was the highlight of 2011 and it was pretty much all down hill from there. Maybe I'm being negative, but there just weren't enough good things to outweigh the bad. I think Stephen Colbert said on his final broadcast of 2011 that a pole showed that 80% of Americans said that 2011 was the worst year of their lives. Quite possibly so.
Aside from being sick, 2012 is going better thus far. Things haven't really changed much, but for the soul fact that we survived 2011 it feels like things are looking up.
Yeah this post isn't really about anything, but there it is.
