I've been watching some Ancient Aliens, which mainly deals with the theory that if we've been visited by extra terrestrials it more than likely happened in the time of ancient man.
I'm sure you've heard all the theories; we received help building the pyramids, Stone Henge and the like.
I personally think the theories are fascinating and I really enjoy the examples of ancient artwork and carvings that suggest such things. Some are pretty convincing!
But there's one thing that bothers me about the discussions from the show on this subject. How can these scientists assume that primitive man had no imagination? I know this was mentioned very briefly a few times on the show, but what if the plethora of wall carvings and paintings depicting extra terrestrial visitors are really just:
Fantasies! I know that primitive man was arguably of limited intelligence but who's to say most of this stuff isn't just some crazy story telling for entertainment?
I really enjoy the show and I think a lot of the evidence is interesting; I just can't help but hold this particular theory of mine in the back of my head while watching. Which is kind of odd as I'm usually the one getting excited about discussions of aliens and the various conspiracies linked to them.
My 12 cents.
