As I mentioned before, I have a sort of paranormal experience to talk about myself. I don't like to tell the tale too often, but in the spirit of Halloween, here we go.
The summer of my 7th grade year, I stayed about a week in Chilhowie VA with my best friend at the time, Ben.
That Saturday night, after completing Battle Toads and Double Dragon for Sega Genesis, we stepped out on the back porch for some fresh air and to discuss the awesomeness that was taking out the Shadowmaster and Dark Queen. The sky was completely clear. The starry sky was completely visible, as were any air craft in the sky at the time. In other words, it was very easy to discern the shapes of planes from their lights.
Just as we were talking about going in for something to eat, a small airplane came into view headed our way. It was flying lower than anything else we'd seen earlier, so we were able to tell that it was small, probably a propeller driven personal craft.
Right as it was passing over Ben's place, two bright blue spheres appeared, almost as if they were already there but not visible before. They were circling the plane horizontally, over the wings and under the belly rapidly. The pattern was kind of random, reminding me of those cartoon animations of an atom with swirling particles they show you in school.
As soon as the plane was over head, the spheres ceased their movement and remained stationary as the plane went on through then, a few seconds later, dashed directly into the night sky and were gone.
I have no idea what that was, I've never seen or heard of such equipment on planes before. I'd say the spheres themselves weren't that large at all, perhaps the size of a plane's door? But they were illuminated almost LED like, so bright that I was able to see the windows of the plane. I'm sure the pilot was scared shitless whoever it was.
And we were too. We imediately ran into the house after it dissapeared. I don't remember what we talked about then, if anything at all. It was just hard to process at the time.
So there you have it, believe it or not, that's my account of my first and only UFO sighting. Whether it be ET or not, it was still an interesting and kind of frightening experience. I only wish I could remember what day it was exactly so I could look for any reports in the Chilhowie papers from the time. Lots of people lived out there, I'm sure someone else had to have seen it.
Doesn't matter though, like the majority of mysteries of this nature, it will likely never be solved, but at least I have a cool story to tell.
